The Opportunity
Following an internal promotion, that is why we are seeking a Lead Forester for our Fraser Coast North District. Based at our Tuan office, located less than 20 minutes from Maryborough, you will drive the silviculture program across our Tuan, Wongi, and Kalpowar forests.

Working closely with the District Manager, you and the team will deliver a high-quality plantation silviculture program growing a sustainable timber resource for future generations. Through a collaborative approach you will also take on the challenges and opportunities to achieve our custodial and fire management goals.

Here’s what you need to thrive in this role?

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in forestry, environmental management, natural resource management or a similar and relevant field with at least 5 years commercial forest plantation experience, or similar relevant experience in; Silviculture, Roading, Harvest and haulage, Fire management, General plantation management (e.g. stewardship, planning and or resources).

  • Highly competent in the use of forest management Systems such as ArcGIS and Business Intelligence reporting;

  • Existing fire management qualification, or a willingness to obtain Sector Commander and/or appropriate Incident Management Team (IMT) accreditation; and

  • Unrestricted “C” class drivers licence.
