Senior Forester

Senior Forester

Ingham

HIRING NOW | Seek the Challenge. Love Adventure.

We’re one of Australia’s largest plantation growers. With that scale comes both opportunity and responsibility. Our business—like our industry—is dynamic, diverse, and constantly evolving. Whatever your role, we want you to experience that journey with us.

The Opportunity

Following an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced Senior Forester to join our North Queensland District, based in our Ingham office in beautiful North Queensland.

In this leadership role, you will work closely with the District Manager and Lead Forester to guide a capable and engaged team in delivering a high-quality plantation silviculture program. Your efforts will directly contribute to growing and sustaining a productive timber resource for future generations.

You will collaborate with the regional planning team to develop and implement tactical plans and schedules across the District. This role also plays a key part in custodial land management and fire management programs, offering both challenge and opportunity in a dynamic operational environment.

This position provides a unique opportunity to build skills and knowledge within a tropical plantation environment, while operating in a highly autonomous role suited to an experienced professional. You will be part of a small, professional team, with opportunities to work and relieve at other satellite work centres across the district, providing variety and broader operational exposure.

About You

You are proactive, driven, and committed to delivering high quality outcomes. To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A Bachelor of Forest Science (or other relevant tertiary qualification) and at least five years’ experience as a Forester or Senior Forester within one or more of Silviculture, Roading, Harvest and haulage, Fire management or
General plantation management (e.g. stewardship, planning, resourcing)
  • High competency in forest management systems, including ArcGIS and Business Intelligence reporting
  • Existing fire management qualifications, or a willingness to obtain Sector Commander and/or appropriate Incident Management Team (IMT) accreditation
  • An unrestricted C Class driver’s licence

What We Offer

Our people are our business. Their passion, resilience, and integrity define who we are. We’re proud of the work we do and the difference it makes.

In return, we offer:

  • Highly competitive remuneration
  • Commuter use of a company vehicle
  • Access to our annual incentive program
  • Additional compensation for fire management activities
  • Relocation assistance, if required.

We are genuinely committed to flexibility and wellbeing—supporting you to work to live, not live to work. Our wellbeing offering includes health programs, employee and family assistance, individual wellbeing initiatives, and local team-based activities to help you perform at your best.
