Senior Forester
Passchendaele
Your impact at HQPlantations will stand tall and last long.
Because at the heart of everything we do is a philosophy of legacy and sustainability.
Sure, you'll be proud to produce beautiful A-grade timber. But to their core, our people are passionate custodians of the forest. We have a duty to treat the land with respect and tread lightly. It's why we invest so much in improving the quality of our plantations, the soil and water.
We're one of the largest plantation growers in Australia. That's an exciting opportunity and it's also a great responsibility.
Our Passchendaele office is looking for a Senior Forester to join the team who will cover and not limited to the Passchendaele, Stanthorpe and Warwick forests.
Here’s what you need to thrive in this role:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in forestry, environmental management, natural resource management, science, engineering or a similar and relevant field with at least 5 years’ forest plantation experience, or similar relevant experience in silviculture, roading, harvest and haulage, fire management and general plantation management (e.g. stewardship, planning and or resources);
- Highly competent in the use of Forest Management Systems such as TechnologyOne, ArcGIS, Geocortex and Business Intelligence reporting;
- Willingness to obtain Sector Commander and/or appropriate Incident Management Team (IMT) accreditation;
- Unrestricted “C” class drivers’ licence; and
- Working rights in Australia or willingness to obtain.
Due to the remote location of this office the successful candidate will have access to reside within a company owned residential house at a reduced rate.
