  • our workplaces are healthy and safe;

  • we achieve zero harm;

  • the safety culture is strong and positive;

  • we continually improve our health and safety performance; and

  • our safety obligations are consistently met.

Plantation Safety Induction

Our Plantation Safety Induction is a training program detailing the safety requirements for working on the plantation estates. It covers:

  • Health and safety responsibilities;

  • Basic hazard identification and risk controls;

  • Identification of generic hazards found on the plantation estate; and

  • Control measures to reduce the risk of injury by these hazards.

The Plantation Safety Induction must be completed prior to entry onto any of our plantation’s estates by all workers (employees, contractors and volunteers) and official visitors accompanied onto the estate.

This induction is conducted electronically via our Online Learning Portal and includes an online assessment that must be successfully completed. Upon completion the worker will receive a certificate which they must carry with them (which may be an electronic copy) while on the estate. This certificate is valid for 5 years, upon which the person will be required to re-complete the induction.
