Closure of Kuranda plantation forest, North Queensland

Following the recent heavy rainfall and the forecast of more rain due to Tropical Cyclone Narelle, our Kuranda forest is closed to all public access.

The closure applies to all public access including cars, 4WDs, motor bikes, mountain bikes, horse riders, hikers, etc. We are appealing to the public to respect the closure so safe and responsible access can be restored as soon as possible.
