Harvesting closure announcement

HQPlantations will commence harvesting operations in Compartment 12 of Mary’s Creek State Forest. Operations are expected to continue for a few weeks, subject to weather and operational conditions. 

For public safety, Marys Creek State Forest will be temporarily closed to recreational users and visitors until further notice, while harvesting operations are underway. Signage and barriers will be in place to identify restricted areas. 

We ask all forest users, including recreational visitors, hikers, cyclists, and neighboring communities, to observe all closures and avoid affected areas during this time. 

We appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation while these important operations are undertaken. We encourage all users to remain cautious and mindful of changed conditions in and around the forest.
