Tinana and Coondoo Creek riparian corridor

This area is recognised for its High Conservation Value and is home to several endangered species, including Mary River cod, lungfish, giant barred frogs and koalas.

Over several years, we have been identifying adjacent degraded areas or areas of pine plantations better suited to conservation that can be revegetated with natural species to strengthen and enhance the existing creek corridor. To date, approximately 60 hectares across numerous sites have been rehabilitated, some of which have had long-term monitoring plots focusing on biodiversity established to track their development over time.
