The Opportunity

We are seeking a Forester – Planning to join our Regional Planning team, based in Blackbutt, the gateway to the South Burnett Region.

Reporting to the Regional Planning Manager, you will develop and implement operational plans, contribute to tactical planning frameworks, and support regional work programs. This role also involves advancing custodial and fire management objectives through collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

About You

You bring a proactive approach and a commitment to high-quality outcomes, supported by:

• A Bachelor of Science (Forestry) or equivalent, with experience in plantation silviculture, roading, harvesting, haulage, fire management, or general plantation operations.
• Fire Sector Commander accreditation and IMT qualifications (or ability to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of forest stewardship, safety, performance, and business management.
• Proven skills in budgeting, financial analysis, project management, planning, and problem-solving.
• Advanced IT proficiency, including MS Office and forest management systems (TechnologyOne, Remsoft, GIS, Geocortex).
• A valid C-class driver’s licence (MR licence desirable).
• The right to work in Australia.
