This exciting opportunity comes in the form of our newly developed Resource Analyst role, a role which has been designed to develop and maintain high quality standards for forest resource data management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure a safe and healthy workplace;
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on the profitability and viability of forestry plantation operations;
- Gather, analyse, and interpret data related to forest inventory, growth rates, and harvesting cycles to optimise resource allocation and decision making;
- Manage the effective acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination of remote sensing datasets for the business;
- Ensure plantation resource data is collected and delivered in an accurate, cost effective and timely fashion;
- Maintain contractor performance while maintaining optimum relationships with the contractors under your supervision;
- Foster an inclusive, culturally aligned, and high performing team environment; and
- Participate in fire management activities according to your competency level and physical abilities.
Here's what you need to thrive in this role:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Environmental sciences, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Mathematics, Physics, Geospatial sciences, Information technology, Engineering, surveying or other relevant tertiary qualification;
- Significant experience in forest resource planning, assessment, growth and yield modelling;
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines;
- A team player with excellent communication;
- Unrestricted “C” class drivers licence; and
- Working rights in Australia or willingness to obtain
