Fewer Log Haulage Trucks on Public Roads as HQPlantations' Introduce Road

HQPlantations will begin using road trains within the Tuan–Toolara Plantation Forest from June 2026 to improve log transport efficiency and reduce the number of haulage vehicles traveling on local public roads.

The longer and heavier road trains will only operate on plantation roads, transporting larger loads of logs to the Hyne sawmill at Tuan near Maryborough. HQPlantations is reminding all motorists, recreational users and visitors to the Tuan–Toolara Plantation Forest to remain vigilant, drive to conditions and share the road safely.
